HOW WE WORK
We enjoy working with clients who embrace change, are eager to learn from our experience and who are willing to push the envelope to do some creative Blue Sky Thinking that gets to the heart of the issue and yields creative yet practical results.
Your initial contact will be with Tammy Hauser Sarto and then may include a number of other consultants or partners of BST. Each team is customized to your needs and objectives so that you get the highest level of expertise without the overhead.
We are a small company that likes to work with other small companies. When you work with the Blue Sky Team you work with individuals, not a corporation. We customize each project and approach to fit your needs. We do not ask you to fit your needs into our templates. This is one of the main areas where we excel and where we are different from other consultants.
The second area is experience- we have been in your shoes as executive leaders, board members, and program managers. We know how you think and what you need to do to make your organization successful. We don’t stop with a plan of action. We take that plan and help you implement it step by step with our in-depth knowledge and expertise of your specific situation.
Our 5 guiding principles:
- Change is a constant and necessary to business growth
- Change is most effective when those impacted by the change are involved in identifying the issues and participating in the solution
- Identifying and addressing the core business issue (framing the problem) is the essential first step in finding the solution
- Know your donor, your competition and yourself
- Align your mission with the actual work you do and how you do it
Fees:
Our basic rate is between $100 and $150 an hour. Generally it is more effective for the client to have us work on a project or retainer basis. This way we can focus on outcomes and not hours worked. It also lets us give you a very good idea of what we can do for you in a given amount of time and within budget constraints.
