Tammy Hauser

Founder and CEO

Tammy Hauser is the Founder and CEO of Blue Sky Thinking, LLC, a full service consulting firm based in Sarasota for small- to mid-sized nonprofit organizations.

Since 2001, Blue Sky Thinking has used a personalized team approach to help 60+ nonprofit organizations renew, re-invigorate, or reinvent themselves through strategic planning, management, interim leadership, rebranding, operational overhauls, event production, visionary program creation, and fund development. Clients tell us that working with Blue Sky Thinking teams are always inspiring, visionary, effective, and fun.

Known as a no-nonsense, never-say-never, super-efficient lover of challenge, Tammy is a master at solving her client’s problems using sound strategy coupled with significant nonprofit leadership experience and a dose of pixie dust.

Prior to consulting, Tammy served as the Director of Community Affairs for the Hennepin Theater Trust in downtown Minneapolis where she created the nationally recognized, The Spotlight Musical Theater Awards, and as a statewide grant maker for the Perpich Center for Arts Education and the Minnesota State Arts Board and as an arts educator for numerous theaters, performing art centers and museums.

Tammy holds a B.A. in theater and an M.B.A. in nonprofit management. She is a commercial theater producer and creator of The Ultimate Pajama Party, a theatrical experience for women. Hauser has been an arts grants panelist for the Sarasota Arts and Culture Alliance, Creative Pinellas, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the MN State Arts Board.  She serves as VP on the Board of the Nonprofit Consultant’s Connection of Tampa Bay and as an i3 consultant with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.


Caitlyn Sanderson

Account Manager/Membership

Caitlyn Sanderson supports Blue Sky Thinking clients with administration, membership management and event services. She has a background in many types of nonprofit sectors, including museums, academia, health and human services, and campaigns and ballot initiatives. She started her career at the not-for-profit publisher Oxford University Press UK where she worked on digital initiatives. A graduate of New College and Oxford Brookes University (UK), Caitlyn is a Sarasota native and enjoys the Florida sunshine with her husband and daughter.


Erin Hart

Communications Manager

Erin offers communications services for Blue Sky clients, handling writing and editing, web content, media relations and social media. She has extensive background and experience in communications, having served as Communications Director at the Minnesota State Arts Board, and well as a freelance arts journalist, editor, copywriter, and publicist. She is also an award-winning crime novelist and frequent presenter at libraries and book festivals.
